Growing up in Louisiana I know what it's like to love and be proud of the state you are from. I'm learning that Oklahoma is full of passionate people, amazing stories and exciting weather. When I began working at Channel 8 in October 2015 as a Multimedia Journalist I couldn't wait to experience reporting in Green Country. So far, I have already covered some impactful events such as the Stillwater crash, the Chili Bowl fight and several Presidential candidate visits. I am looking forward to tornado season, (although I'll be the one terrified in the passenger seat of our news vehicle) to experience a new type of reporting out of my comfort zone.

Let me begin with my background. I began my career in Waco, Texas at KWTX. There, I covered national stories such as the Twin Peaks biker shootout and Baylor's appearance on College Gameday. Meeting new people is a plus in this job. You may know some of them: President George W. Bush, ESPN host, Chris Fowler, and TV personality,Giuliana Rancic. At KWTX, I also gained experience anchoring and producing various shows.

Before I go on, I have to admit I'm a Tiger fan. I graduated from Louisiana State University, where I majored in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism. I also double minored in Business and Communication Studies. At LSU, I spent my free time involved in news training. My experience ranges from LSU's Tiger TV to a news station in my hometown, KLAX in Alexandria, Louisiana. I also interned in Rochester, Minnesota at KTTC-NewsCenter, where I enhanced my reporting skills and learned basic producing and anchoring skills. On weekends, I worked for a production studio called Hometown Productions in Baton Rouge as a reporter and editor for their weekly show.

I believe, I am a passionate reporter who provides in-depth information while telling a story. My favorite stories to cover include human-interest pieces and breaking news. I take pride in all that I cover down to the last detail. The best part about this job is telling the stories of people who don't have a voice.

In my free time, you can find me running around the Brookside area or participating in other outdoor activities. I enjoy watching basketball and football, especially the Saints and my Tigers. I also enjoy discovering new recipes and cooking vegetarian dishes at home.

Oklahoma is uncharted territory for me, but I am excited to experience the people, weather and everything else the Sooner state has to offer. I am so happy to call Tulsa my new home. Feel free to email me or connect with me on social media with any questions or story ideas!
