Happy Friday! Highs today will reach into the low 80s with plenty of clouds sticking around. But there is still the potential for severe weather this afternoon and into the evening, with a slight risk of severe weather for portions of Southern, Central and Northern Oklahoma.
Thunderstorms with the threat of large hail and damaging winds will be scattered today, starting out in Western Oklahoma as they push northeast.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will develop any time between 3PM and 5PM and remain scattered throughout the evening hours. The highest chance for organized activity is west of the Tulsa Metro, but the threat for those storms to make it east is there. The tornado threat today is very low.
After tonight, the first part of your Memorial Day Weekend looks beautiful! Highs in the middle 80s with plenty of sunshine for Saturday, before afternoon shower and thunderstorm chances come back Sunday afternoon.
