From Meteorologist Molly McCollum:
Sct. Showers/Storms, Mostly Cloudy, Muggy
Wind: S 10-20, gusts to 25
Wind: S 5-15
Wednesday will bring a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and muggy conditions with heat index values near 100. A cold front will move through Green Country this evening through the overnight hours pushing storms across our area. A few of the storms could become strong to severe with damaging wind being the primary threat along with small hail and heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flash flooding.
The rain should taper off by Thursday morning leaving most of Thursday dry. Thursday will start off in the low 70s and climb to around 90 in the afternoon with heat indices once again near the triple digits.
There will be more storm chances by Friday.
