March: 'In like a lion, out like a lamb'
Storms rolled through our area early in the morning hours giving truth to the first half of the saying "March comes in like a lion, out like a lamb." The big question is what can we expect for the rest of March?
Today is the official start to meteorological Spring but astronomical Spring doesn't start for another 19 days. However, it has felt like Spring in Green Country since the beginning of February. It appears March will pick up where February left off with well above normal temperatures and slim chances for rain coming our way in the next two weeks. In the extended forecasts, there are hints at a pattern chance for the second half of March but it appears that overall temperatures will be running above normal.
March is typically a wild month in Oklahoma where we can see anything from tornadoes to snow, sometimes all within a couple of days. Stay tuned to Tulsa's Channel 8 for the latest forecast updates. Here's to hoping March "goes out like a lamb."
