Tulsa County ranks 6th for most Oklahoma tornadoes since 1950
Oklahoma is no stranger to tornadoes, but where in the state are you more likely to see a tornado? Caddo County in southwest Oklahoma has had the most reports since 1950 with 116 tornadoes. Oklahoma County (Oklahoma City) comes in a close second with 113 reported tornadoes.
In Green Country, Osage and Tulsa County top the list. 82 tornadoes have been reported inside the Tulsa county borders over the last 66 years. Tulsa County comes in at 6th overall across the state beating out Cleveland County, home to the well-known tornado hot spot of Moore.
Oklahoma averages 52 tornadoes a year. In 2015, there were 57 reported tornadoes across the state.
