This Day in Tulsa Weather History-Hottest temperature ever recorded

We are expecting hot weather again for today near 100. But, it won't be as hot as it was on this day back in 1936. Eighty years ago on this day, the mercury soared to 115 degrees.

There were records set all across eastern Oklahoma. Muskogee hit 118; McAlester topped out at 116; and Poteau set the state's hottest temperature record of 120 degrees.

So far this summer we have hit 100 six times. Fall is only 43 days away!
