Widespread freeze likely this weekend
Most areas in Eastern Oklahoma will drop to the freezing mark by Saturday morning, with a lot of the readings dropping into the upper 20s. Temperatures in a few places have already dropped below freezing, but this weekend most if not all areas should finally reach the freezing mark, which will signal the end of the growing season for Eastern Oklahoma.
The total hours at or below freezing will vary from town to town, but on average most places should be at or below freezing for about 4 hours this weekend. This should be long enough to kill any tender vegetation.
