July Forecast: More Extremes Possible?
The next couple of days we'll experience a temporary break from soaring temperatures, but the extreme heat will return by the weekend with highs in the upper 90s to near 100. However, long-range models have been consistently showing an even bigger change coming our way mid-month. The 8-14 day outlook for temperatures has a large portion of the central U.S. experiencing cooler than normal temperatures over an extended period of time. The chance for rain also goes up during that period with wetter than normal conditions expected not only across Oklahoma but for a large portion of the country. Obviously, a lot can change over the next two weeks and we will be monitoring this trend very closely. Check back for more updates
