Temperatures will remain cooler than normal at least for a couple more days. While we won't break the record lows Wednesday and Thursday, we won't be too far off the mark. Tulsa's record low Wednesday is 54, and the projected lows across Green Country will range from the mid to upper 50s. With less humidity and light northeast winds, afternoon highs will stay below 90 until the end of the week. The normal high this time of year is 94 and is typically the hottest time of year for us. Instead, afternoon highs will feel more like mid-September. The break from the heat doesn't last for long, south winds return later in the week, and the heat and humidity will settle back in across the area. The latest outlook from the Climate Prediction Center keeps the heat around through the last week in August.
