TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – The bodies of a couple who disappeared over the weekend have been found.
The suspect, Wesley Brock Pavey, was arrested and led investigators to the bodies, according to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office.
"Oklahoma City Police were able to locate him, bring him to us and we interviewed him throughout the day," Roebuck said, "Today he decided to do the right thing and show us where they were at."
The couple’s bodies were found in Vera, in Washington County.
The TCSO identified the couple as Kraig and Sheri Chambers of Collinsville. They were reported missing on Saturday.
"We don't have a lot of motive besides the fact our suspect and male victim in this case had been estranged," Roebuck said.
TCSO spokeswoman Casey Roebuck said Pavey is a cousin of one of the victims, and they believe he went to their home in Collinsville, where an argument led to a “very violent altercation,” based on evidence.
"We had reason to believe based on the evidence found at the home that they had met with foul play, something traumatic happened," Roebuck said.
The couple leaves behind an elementary-aged child who is now in the custody of a grandparent, according to the TCSO.
Pavey is the only suspect.
"This is not the way we wanted this to end, but at least now we're able to tell these family members exactly what happened," Roebuck said.
A Gofudme account has been made to help with their memorial expenses and for their son.
