Tulsa County deputies identify man found dead in friend's driveway

UPDATE: Tulsa County deputies have identified the man found dead in his friend's driveway yesterday as 41-year-old James Hillary Williams.

His body was discovered around 9 a.m. inside his SUV in his friend's driveway.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call 918-596-5600 or you can call 918-596-COPS to remain anonymous. Tips leading to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.


TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said a woman found her friend dead inside his vehicle in her driveway this morning.

The woman told deputies she noticed the car in her driveway near 56th Street North and North Lewis Avenue, but she was in a rush to take her son to school.

When she got back home, she checked the vehicle and found her friend dead inside.

The woman said he'd called her multiple times overnight until about 1 a.m., but she didn't answer her phone.  

Deputies said the man had obvious signs of trauma and they're unsure his cause of death. They are awaiting the medical examiner to arrive to determine the official cause of death.

TCSO is investigating his death as a homicide. 

The man has not been publicly identified at this time.
