5 dead in shooting at Saint Francis medical building

UPDATE: Saint Francis Health System has released the following statement concerning the shooting:

Saint Francis Health System is grieving the loss of four members of our family. As a faith based organization, the only recourse we have at this moment is to pray while we navigate this tragedy.
Out of respect for the families, we are not commenting on or releasing names of those lost or injured at this time.
We are sincerely thankful for the quick response by the Tulsa Police Department, first responders and EMS agencies. And, our deepest gratitude extends to the members of our own Saint Francis family who cared for their own during this incident.
To allow our staff and caregivers the opportunity to process today’s tragedy, all Warren Clinic appointments in Tulsa and Broken Arrow scheduled before noon tomorrow have been cancelled. Additionally, the Warren Clinic Orthopedic offices in the Natalie Building will be closed until further notice.
We ask that you please pray for the employees and physicians of the Saint Francis Health System.

UPDATE: Saint Francis Health System says all Warren Clinic appointments scheduled before noon Thursday in the Tulsa or Broken Arrow area have been canceled. Additionally, the Warren Clinic orthopedic offices in the Natalie Building will be closed for the rest of the week.

UPDATE: Police now say five people are dead, including the shooter.

Police said the shooter, who hasn't been identified, had a rifle and handgun.

Police said they arrived at 4:56 p.m., within just a few minutes of getting the call. The shooting took place on the second floor of the Natalie Building at Saint Francis Hospital. 

Police believe the shooter died of suicide.

Police said they responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at Saint Francis Hospital. This turned into an active-shooter situation.

Tulsa police are asking families and friends to go to Memorial High School west of LaFortune Park for a reunification site.

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- The Tulsa Police Department is at a Saint Francis medical building near 61st and Yale responding to a shooting.

Police say there are multiple injuries, and the suspect is down. There is no word of any fatalities.

This is no longer an active-shooter situation, but police are asking the public to avoid the area.

Tulsa police say they are currently clearing the building floor by floor, and that it is a "catastrophic" scene inside.

This is breaking news and will be updated as more information becomes available.
