Motel Where McVeigh Planned OKC Attack Being Razed

A motel in which Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh planned the 1995 attack on the Alfred P. Murrah federal building will soon be no more.The Dreamland Motel in Grandview Plaza, Kansas, is being demolished. Demolition actually began on April 19th, the sixteenth anniversary of McVeigh and fellow co-conspirator Terry Nichols' bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City.One hundred sixty eight men, women and children were killed in the attack.Investigators say McVeigh stayed at the hotel in Room 25 from April 14th until the day before the bombing. It was a hotel manager who identified a sketch as McVeigh in the days following the attack.McVeigh was executed for the bombing in 2001. Terry Nichols was convicted and sentenced to life without parole. He is currently serving his sentence at a super maximum prison near Florence, Colorado.
