Police: Putnam City Teacher Arrested Amidst Allegations of Relationship with Teen

A Putnam City High School teacher was arrested Monday on allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to district officials.KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City reports Lisa Kays, a Spanish teacher at Putnam City High School, is accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a student for more than three months.Kays, who has been a teacher at the school since 2002, was arrested on three complaints of rape and two complaints of forcible oral sodomy. She was released from jail Monday after posting bond.The allegations against Kays first surfaced last week in a communication to Putnam City Campus Police through a hotline used to report crimes and safety concerns.Kays was removed from the school campus the next day and administrators and police talked with parents of the alleged victim by phone on Friday and then met with parents Monday morning.
