Teacher Accused Of Relationship With Student

A Putnam City High School Spanish teacher is accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a student for more than three months.

46 year old Lisa Kays was arrested Monday on three complaints of rape and two complaints of oral sodomy.

Kays posted bond and has been released.

The Putnam City School District says she has been an employee since 2002.

Campus police say they received an anonymous email last week which accused of Kays of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.

The teacher was removed from the school campus on February 9th.

Administrators say they interviewed the student on two occasions before he told them they had relations on five occasions. Investigators say three encounters took place in the teacher's classroom and the other two in her car.
