Waiting Child: Out of this world with Alex

Keith joined Alex at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum for an out of this world adventure. (KTUL)

The Tulsa Air and Space Museum was a fantastic choice for Keith to hang out with Alex. The museum is home to many exhibits including simulators. Education Director Jared Casci helped give Alex and educational and entertaining day.

What was Alex’s favorite part about his visit? “The wind tunnel! You got to control it and see how it works!”

It did not take long to realize Alex has the right stuff, and this was a great way to spend his time. In fact, he’s very interested in flight. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, Alex topically replied, “I’d be a spaceman. I want to go to a different galaxy!”

Math and science are priorities for any spaceman, and that is certainly not an issue with Alex, in fact he says, “My favorite things are STEM, kaleidoscope, Gifted and Talented and GATE.”

Not only is Alex smart, he gets along great with others. He even kept his cool when Keith asked him embarrassing questions about having a girlfriend. Keith asked, “Does she know you like her?”

“Why else would she be dating me?” Alex then offered Keith advice on taking his wife out telling him to bring flowers and dress up nice. Keith’s wife thanks Alex for the advice.

Alex does have some requests for the family that decides to take in the adventurer. “I want to be the middle child. And have parties for every birthday that the family has. Even for grandma and grandpa.”
