Tulsa, OKLA - "Flip this all the way over," a Tulsa Police Officer told eleven-year-old Renee to do as sirens blared.
No one was in trouble. Just having a really good time at the Tulsa Police Academy.
Renee had indicated an interest in being a police officer when she grew up and TPD was happy to host us.
We checked out a K9 officer and put on a bullet proof vest.
And Renee loved it!
"What did you think about being at the police department today, the police academy?" Keith asked. "You've got a big smile on your face. What did you enjoy the most?"
"Police cars!" Renee cheerfully answered.
In addition to patrol cars, she's also a big science nut.
"I heard you liked science. Is that true?" Keith asked.
"Yep." Renee answered.
"What is it you like about science?"
"I like science because we're allowed to read about stuff."
When she's not at school, Renee loves playing with Chihuahua's and board and video games.
"I have a DS," said Renee.
"You enjoy the DS?"
As for a family, it's a pretty short list.
"No smoking and nobody hate me," she said.
"I can't imagine that," Keith responded.
Not on this day.
Thanks to the TPD for putting such a bright smile on this sweet girls face.
