As a native Oklahoman I am grateful to share your stories with the rest of the community. There is truly no place like Oklahoma – from the everchanging weather to the friendly folks.
I am from McLoud, Oklahoma and went on to graduate from Oklahoma City University. I competed for the OCU Speech and Debate team and traveled around the US and world to represent my school. I won state, regional, national and international oratory awards. I also studied filmmaking and contributed to several documentary pieces, short films and feature films throughout my time in Oklahoma City. Those experiences helped prepare me for a life in journalism.
I started my broadcast career in the Pacific Northwest by covering news in eastern Washington and Oregon. I am thrilled to be back in my home state doing what I love, along with getting to learn more about eastern Oklahoma.
I also enjoy media in my off time. My husband is a filmmaker and our go-to date nights are watching films on the couch with our two dogs. Movie trivia is a regular topic at our dinner parties and we countdown to movie release dates.
I am thankful to be in the Tulsa community to help share information and unforgettable stories. Connect with me online and on social media to help me learn more about you and the area.
