Transformation Church is known for crazy faith, buying the 10 million dollar Spirit Bank Event Center, dealing with noise complaints, and now, buying the shopping center around it.

“I believe people here love Transformation Church. Anywhere you go and anything you do you’ll have people trying to figure out the change. Change is uncomfortable for everybody,” said Pastor Mike Todd, who has gathered more than a million followers on social media and for his weekly sermons.

Transformation’s holding group acquired the PostRock retail and office space for $20.5 million. The shopping center is right in front of the church.

“We did not go looking for this acquisition. They approached us. And when they approached us, we were prepared and ready,” said Todd.

The shopping center has about 34 different spaces and most of them are leased right now, according to the church.

“We want to actually impact the economy. Where we are. We want to impact the diversity of where we are. We want to impact people’s lives. And this is just honestly the beginning of what we plan to do as a church,” said Todd.

“I think the beautiful thing about 2020 is that it exposed a lot of our differences. Our church is about unity, though.”

The city of Bixby has given several citations to church members this year because of noise complaints. The church is now renovating and reinforcing the wall to abate the acoustic issue.

They expect to have the renovations complete by February.
