OHP: Man dies after losing control of vehicle
MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded the an accident on US 64 Saturday afternoon near East 123rd Street South, about half a mile south of Keefeton.
Troopers say 24-year-old David Roach was driving a 2016 Jeep Wrangler southbound on US 64 around 1:30 p.m.
While passing a vehicle in the outside lane, Roach lost control of his Jeep and veered off the road to the right. The Jeep hit a stop sign, fence and rolled an unknown amount of times.
OHP said Roach was not wearing his seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
He was life-flighted to St. Francis Hospital in extremely critical condition with multiple injuries. He later died in the hospital.
According to OHP, Roach was speeding around the curve when he tried to pass the other vehicle.
