A 24-year-old died after a two-vehicle crash in Payne County Wednesday evening.

Police say the crash happened around 9:20 p.m. at 32nd and Washington in Stillwater.

Lariat Larner, 24, of Stillwater was pronounced dead at the scene.

When first responders arrived on scene, one of the two vehicles involved was fully engulfed in flames.

Witnesses were able to pull the two occupants of the burning Ford F-150 to safety, but Larner, one of five occupants in the second vehicle, did not survive.

Officers say a white Ford F-350 with five occupants, including Larner, was driving northbound on Washington Street when it crashed into a gray Ford F-150 that was traveling westbound on 32nd Avenue.

Three people were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
