9 more COVID-19 cases in Tulsa County, bringing total to 249

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – Nine more confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Tulsa County, bringing the pandemic’s total to 249.

Oklahoma’s total confirmed positive cases now stands at 1,327, the state announced Monday. The national total has risen to over 337,000.

Coronavirus-related deaths in Oklahoma have topped 50 for the first time. Tulsa County has recorded eight of the 51 total deaths in the state.

Oklahoma County leads the state in confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 with 279, including 11 deaths there.

Tulsa County accounts for more than 18% of the state’s positive COVID-19 cases.

A Tulsa County man was announced back on March 6 as Oklahoma’s first confirmed case of coronavirus. He’s since recovered.

Tulsa County reports 26 recovered coronavirus patients as of Monday.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum has issued a stay-at-home order for all Tulsans, regardless of age, through April 30. Tulsans are asked to only leave their homes for essential business.
