Bills to end Oklahoma's grocery sales tax advance

Two bills designed to get rid of the sales tax on groceries in Oklahoma are moving forward at the State Capitol.

House Bill 3349 is a temporary sales tax lapse, whereas Senate Bill 1495 would be permanent.

Both passed committees Tuesday but still have a way to go before Gov. Kevin Stitt can sign them into law.
