TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – Broken Arrow officials have launched a task force to “get our economic engine going again,” focusing on recovery from the coronavirus crisis.

The “BA Rising: Economic Recovery Taskforce” is comprised of officials from the city, the school district, the Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation and the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce.

They’ll work with industry leaders to develop the plan for safely revving up the economy, providing recovery resources to businesses and nonprofits, and developing “a roadmap “ to help displaced workers.

“Working with our business community, the BA Rising Economic Recovery Taskforce will help facilitate the re-opening of our businesses and help find ways to get our economic engine going again” City Manager Michael Spurgeon said in a news release Thursday.
