Tulsa police arrested a husband and wife for drug trafficking at the Red Roof Inn near Admiral and Sheridan Friday night.

An officer was patrolling motels in the area when they saw a yellow Dodge Calliber parked at the inn. The officer knew the car was being used by Brandy and James Clevenger, who were on the run with warrants for aggravated narcotics trafficking.

Officers saw the vehicle leave the parking lot, so they pulled the car over and found the Clevengers along with their three small children.

Police arrested the couple. During the traffic stop, officers found the stolen driver's license that Brandy Clevenger used to rent the motel room.

The officers took the kids back to the motel room so they could get their dog, clothes and toys. They saw two handguns in plain sight on the counter in the room and found another along with a bag of methamphetamine in one of the kids' bags.

TPD got a search warrant and found additional methamphetamine and evidence of drug distribution.

Brandy and James Clevenger were arrested on additional drug trafficking charges along with possession of firearms while committing felonies. Brandy is also facing a charge of identity theft.
