TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa Fire Department is working to put out a house fire near West 43rd Street and South Union Avenue.
Firefighters said heavy flames covered the front of the home.
TFD said a man and woman lived in the house with a couple pets.
The couple escaped the home safely, but their animals were nowhere to be found. Firefighters searched inside, but said there were open windows, so they think the pets jumped out to escape the fire and smoke.
Firefighters say there is a lot of damage to the house, especially to the front. They believe the home is a total loss.
TFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
This is a developing story.
