The Tulsa Fire Department responded to a report of a car in the Arkansas River Friday morning.

Crews responded around 7:15 a.m. to the call from 21st and Riverside. A silver car was reportedly submerged in the water, but the car was empty.

Authorities say the car appears to be stolen.

Crews had to cut through a fence and some trees before they could pull the car through the riverbank jungle.

It came out completely covered in vines and branches and was hauled to the wreckage yard where its owner can claim it.
