They came prepared. Glamorous glasses, swanky sweaters, and pants that come with a built-in question -- "Where do you wear your sequin pants? Elton John!" said Cindy Spitler, her history with Elton and Tulsa intertwined.

"The first show I ever saw when we moved to Tulsa 19 years ago was Elton John at the convention center. He had me in tears by the third song," she said.

"I am so excited to see him," said Becky Van Dyke. She drove from Kansas and has no doubt been brought to tears by the emotional impact of Elton.

"He is everything, everything he is, his talent, who he is as a person; I love him, well, as you can see," she said, sporting a handmade sweater that read "I love Elton."

"People from around the world come to Tulsa for these concerts," said Artice Taylor. He works concession at the BOK and routinely sees the economic impact.

"Most concerts you get people from Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas for these concerts. A lot of time, they outnumber the people from Tulsa for these shows, and they come stay at the hotels and bring business to the hotels and things of that nature," he said.

But enough talk about business.

"Blue jean baby, LA lady, seamstress for the band!"

It's time for a Tulsa farewell on a night no one here will ever forget.

"And it's Saturday night; Saturday night’s all right," said Spitler.
