Every day has been declared "Russell Westbrook Day" in Oklahoma City.

Mayor Mick Cornett issued a proclamation Sept. 29 after Russell Westbrook signed a 5-year, $205 million contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The proclamation reads that Westbrook has already been recognized with a "Russell Westbrook Day" and "subsequently seized all of the other days after that and he is likely to continue seizing every other day from this day forward".

Further, the document states that the City of Oklahoma City "has a commitment to efficient government, but can't keep up with all of Russell's myriad accomplishments."
