Firefighters respond to fire at University Club Tower apartments (KTUL)

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- Around 75 firefighters responded to a fire at a downtown Tulsa high-rise apartment complex Tuesday afternoon.

Smoke could be seen billowing from University Club Tower near 17th and Carson from miles away.

Firefighters got the call around 12:40 p.m. When they arrived, they found two apartments on the 22nd floor on fire. It took crews about half an hour to knock down the fire.

No one was injured and it's still not clear how the fire began, but Capt. Stan May says it may have been electrical.

University Club Tower is a 32-story residential apartment building near downtown Tulsa.
