TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Governor Kevin Stitt tweeted his approval about the passage of House Bill 2597 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives Wednesday.
After about two hours of discussion and debate in the House Chambers the Oklahoma House of Representatives voted 70-30 in favor of House Bill 2597 Wednesday. The bill would allow law-abiding citizens to carry a gun without a license.
His tweet reads:
I have said from the very beginning I would sign legislation that places Okla in the ranks with 12 other states allowing Constitutional Carry. HB 2597 received overwhelming support in the House, & I applaud leadership for advancing a measure that supports Oklahomans' #2A rights.
