Oklahoma high school principal accused of domestic assault and battery
SHAWNEE, Okla. (KOKH) —
Police say a man is in custody for domestic assault and battery after officers responded to a disturbance call around midnight on Dec. 9.
Shawnee PD officers say they heard screaming coming from inside the residence and knocked and identified themselves as police.
A man, who's been identified as Kenneth Riddle, exited the residence shortly after and struck an officer in the face and a second officer in the chest.
After a short struggle, police arrested Riddle, who's the principal of Harrah High School.
Riddle was arrested on complaints of domestic assault and battery, interfering with a 911 call, assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Riddle has been placed on paid administrative leave by Harrah High School and was booked Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center.
Police have released the 911 call from the incident.
