Sen. James Lankford is calling on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to give guidance to those who've received the COVID vaccine on safe ways to move forward with their daily lives.

Currently in Oklahoma, those with comorbidities, teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, and those 65 and older are eligible to receive the vaccine.

On Feb. 12, Lankford sent a letter to the CDC director asking for information on how people can re-engage with their families and communities after receiving the full vaccine regiment.

He requested updated guidance from the CDC while speaking on the Senate floor on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

“Help our seniors out by getting clear guidelines out into the public," Lankford said. "Give instructions to assisted living facilities. Give instructions to these grandparents. What do they need to do now that they have been vaccinated?”
