Investigation underway after body found in Oklahoma River

OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Law enforcement, firefighters and EMSA are on the scene after a body was discovered in the Oklahoma River.

Firefighters tell Fox 25 this happened in the Oklahoma River near SW 15th and Portland.

The body was called into officials after a boater spotted it floating in the water.

The Medical Examiner has been called to the scene.

Oklahoma City police are now taking over the investigation. Police say at this time, it is being considered as a suspicious death.
