TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — An Oklahoma movie theater reversed course after a warning sign was posted about Pixar's new film "Lightyear".
The sign said a theater in Kingfisher would "do all we can to fast-forward through that scene, it might not be exact".
The scene in question shows a female character briefly kissing her female partner.
The owner declined to talk on camera and said they took the sign down, and never actually fast-forwarded through any showing of the movie.
Jill Stuever is a mom that brought her two sons to see the new movie. She had no problem with the scene. "Watching it was no big deal. It was like two seconds. Maybe like one second if you were really paying attention," said Stuever.
Mom Lilly Jiles brought her five-year-old to see the movie too. "I thought it was fine. I'm fine with all different kinds of families," said Jiles.
Jiles says she can see why the theater put up the sign in the first place though. She said, "I think they just wanted to be honest with people."
This film has been banned in 14 other countries because of that scene. Many of which are Muslim-majority nations and say that it's a violation of media content standards.
