Lisa Kepler, daughter of ex-cop on trial for murder, arrested on drug complaints

Lisa Kepler (Creek County Jail)

The daughter of a former Tulsa police officer who is currently on trial for murder was arrested on drug complaints early Wednesday morning.

Lisa Kepler, 21, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. on S.H. 51 in Mannford for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia, according to a probable cause affidavit. Kepler was the passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for speeding, and police found pipes and a baggie of marijuana in the SUV, the affidavit says.

When the officer confronted Kepler about it, she claimed that the marijuana belonged to her and the driver and that they had smoked it a few hours earlier, according to the affidavit.

Shannon Kepler, Lisa's father, is in the midst of his third jury trial for murder. He was arrested and charged after shooting and killing Lisa Kepler's boyfriend, Jeremey Lake, in 2014. Lisa Kepler has testified in her father's two previous trials and was expected to take the stand in the ongoing trial.
