TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa police arrested a man early Tuesday who they say has killed two women in less than two weeks.
On Sunday afternoon, police were called to an apartment complex near East 32nd Street and South Sheridan Road to check the well-being of a woman who hadn't been seen for a couple of days.
When they arrived, they found 62-year-old Star Rainbow Dancer dead in her apartment from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say Dancer had been letting a young man stay with her for a week, and evidence found at the scene led investigators to believe that man was also connected to the murder of Elizabeth Dillard on March 25 in Turley.
A suspect description developed in that case matched the young man staying with Dancer, according to police. He has been identified as Terryl Brooks.
A trooper spotted Brooks' truck driving suspiciously near 41st and 129th early this morning and pulled him over.
Brooks was arrested and will be booked into the Tulsa County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder in both the deaths of Dillard and Dancer.
