Man found guilty of 17-year-old's 2016 shooting death
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) -- A man who police say shot and killed a 17-year-old in 2016 was found guilty of murder Friday.
Marcus Dewayne Boyd was charged with murder, four counts of shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm after a felony conviction.
Police say Boyd killed Daniel Carter in June 2016. The teen was sitting in the passenger seat of a car in north Tulsa when he was shot to death. A 16-year-old girl in the backseat of the car was also shot.
Boyd was found guilty on all charges. The jury recommended he spend the rest of his life in prison.
Boyd's forma sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 29.
