OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — One person is dead and another is fighting for their life after an early morning fire in Oklahoma City.
OKCFD officials were called to home near NW 122nd and Council early Tuesday morning after reports of smoke. Arriving teams reported heavy flames coming from the structure and a second alarm was called out.
Firefighters found two people in the kitchen and pulled them out of the home. Officials say the man pulled from the home was already dead. Emergency crews immediately initiated life-saving measures on a woman.
The woman was reported dead a short time later.
Fire officials say several pets also died in the fire. It's unclear how the fire started. Crews remain on-scene.
