Man shot at south Tulsa apartment complex; suspect was friend of victim, police say
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Police are looking for a man who got away after a shooting in south Tulsa.
Officers responded around 2:45 a.m. to the Avondale Apartments near 71st and Peoria. Police say they found a man lying on the floor of his apartment with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
The man was taken to the hospital and is having surgery to repair lung damage, according to police. He is expected to survive.
Police say the suspect and victim were friends, but a fight occurred before the shooting. Investigators haven't released a description of the suspect.
