Murder suspect arrested for deadly June shooting

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – A wreck on Highway 169 resulted in the arrest of a murder suspect Monday night.

Tulsa police said they arrested Marcus Boyd after a car accident on Highway 169 near 11th Street.

Boyd was wanted on a first-degree murder warrant for the death of Daniel Carter June 28, according to police. Officers said Carter was shot and killed while sitting in the passenger seat of a car on Virgin near Madison.

Police believe more witnesses to the shooting have yet to come forward.
