Thousands of dollars in firearms were stolen from Wilshire Gun early Tuesday morning.

Alarms at the facility at 615 W Wilshire Blvd, were triggered around 4:00 a.m. Dec. 26. Surveillance footage from inside the facility shows three suspects throw a rock through the front door.

They then immediately went for the first two gun cases at the front of the store.

Assistant General Manager Kevin Maxfield says the suspects were in and out in about 45 seconds.

"They knew exactly where they wanted to go, which tells us they were probably in here before,” said Maxfield. β€œOne individual grabbed four rifles off the wall and then immediately exited the store. The other ones were, you know, were grabbing as many firearms and pistols as they could. They dropped one as they were heading out the door, as well. It was actually sitting out there on the steps when we got here this morning.”

Maxfield says staff is currently gathering all the serial numbers on the stolen firearms, in hopes of eventually tracking them down.

Local and federal agents are investigating the Christmas break-in.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers immediately.
