North Tulsa building explosion under investigation

TULSA - The Tulsa Fire Department is investigating a building explosion in the 1000 block of North Utica.

Fire crews responded to the call around 6 p.m. Friday. Witnesses say an explosion blew out glass across the street, and firefighters say another explosion happened when they arrived.

Firefighters say nobody was hurt and they checked adjacent buildings to make sure anyone inside was evacuated.

Investigators are trying to find out who owned the property to get more information, and have not determined a cause yet.
