OHP: 1 killed in crash involving semi, construction vehicle on I-44 in Creek County
CREEK COUNTY, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Creek County.
Troopers say the crash happened around 1 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-44 about four miles east of Stroud. A construction vehicle was merging onto the highway from a safety zone when a semi collided with it, according to OHP.
A passenger in the construction vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say both drivers were ejected from their vehicles but did not have life-threatening injuries.
The man who was killed was 20 years old, according to OHP.
