Oklahoma Aquarium extends deadline for bull shark diving contest
JENKS, Okla. (KTUL) —
Since the Oklahoma Aquarium announced their contest to dive with the bull sharks, they have received hundreds of applications and national attention.
The contest is the first of its kind, allowing one lucky person to dive alongside three professional divers in a 400,000-gallon tank with the largest collection of bull sharks in the world.
The aquarium said they decided to extend the deadline by a couple days to Friday, July 20, due to national media coverage.
Applicants have until noon on the 20th to submit their names and information, but the aquarium will not pick the winner until 2 p.m. via Facebook Live.
