OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Oklahoma City police say an officer has been injured in a fatal officer-involved shooting.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at a travel trailer near 14000 Iron Road.
The officer was hit by shrapnel but is expected to be okay. FOX 25 is told that the officer is at OU Medical Center.
Officers say they were serving an out-of-state burglary warrant. When they got into the residence, the male suspect was hiding.
Police say he then started shooting at them. Officers returned fire.
The suspect was killed in the shooting. Police have yet to release the suspect's name.
It's also unclear if the suspect lived on the property or why he was in the area.
