Oral Roberts announces Russell Springmann as new men's basketball head coach

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Oral Roberts University has announced that Russell Springmann will be taking over as the men's basketball team's head coach.

The announcement comes just a day after reports were confirmed of Paul Mills taking the head coaching position at Wichita State University.

Springmann joined ORU in May of 2018 where he has served as the assistant coach.

Previously, he spent 17 years under Rick Barnes at Texas.
