OSDH reports first flu death reported in Tulsa County
TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported the first flu death for this season on Thursday.
Six people have died from influenza in Oklahoma, one of which was in Tulsa County. This is the first flu death of the season to be reported in the county.
There are five more people who were hospitalized from flu-related symptoms in Tulsa County. A total of 33 people in the county have been in the hospital from flu symptoms this season.
Since the beginning of the season on Sept. 1, 2018, 123 people have been hospitalized.
