It's a project that's been hot and cold for at least three years, but plans for an outlet mall in Jenks are finally moving forward.

A sign went up Tuesday just south of the Creek Turnpike by the Arkansas River, where they're going to be building the mall. The billboard says the mall, called the Tulsa Premium Outlets, will be developed by Simon and is expected to open in 2020.

The Simon company also owns Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa and Penn Square Mall in Oklahoma City, but those are just two of the hundreds of properties owned by the company across the country.

It's not yet clear what stores and businesses would come to the mall.
