Owners of Owasso Christmas tree farm have helped 'build family memories' for 3 decades
OWASSO, Okla. (KTUL) – Bill and Paula Jacobs, the owners of the Owasso Christmas Tree and Berry Farm, have sold trees to people in Green Country for 29 years, having grown them for 35 years.
“We build family memories,” said Paula. “That’s mainly what we do.”
They started out in a two-door garage next door to their farm.
In the first year, they sold about 100 trees. Now they sell thousands each year.
The Jacobses say the best part of having their farm is being with each other.
“She is a big supporter of this thing and she is here almost every day helping out and she takes a lot of load off of my back,” said Bill.
The Owasso Christmas Tree Farm and the Pleasant Valley Farm in Sand Springs both allow people to pick out trees and cut down their own.
Prices vary depending on the size and type.
The Owasso Christmas Tree Farm is open from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekends. It closes for the season Dec. 23.
Pleasant Valley is open only on weekends from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Christmas Eve.
