Panera Bread and Baking Memories 4 Kids gives family a trip to Orlando

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — A family that's staying brave for their boy who is battling a life-threatening illness is getting a surprise all their kids will never forget.

Baking Memories 4 Kids and Panera Bread are giving them an all-expense paid trip to Orlando.

For the Mallonee family, they treat every day like it's a gift because their son, Lucian, has nephrotic kidney disease that has him in and out of hospitals, but today, they have something to smile about.

Frank Squeo, the founder of Baking Memories 4 Kids, said, "They're going to Disney World, Sea World, Universal and Lego Land."

Jessica Mallonee said, "This is going to be something that we're going to remember forever. It'll be our first family trip together, and it'll be much needed time spent together."

Squeo said, "By saying yes and putting those five and ten cents, we put all that money together and that's why this family is going on this life-changing trip."
